Any and all help / suggestions will be greatly appreciated Both users are running Excel 2016 on the latest build of Windows 10. As of late, the user claims it isn't doing it at all. ![]() This is what the user wants to happen but it doesn't happen every time. I am assuming at this point that is must be enabled since an option to unshare the workbook is greyed out and 2 people can open the file concurrently without a pop up that the file has been opened by another user.Įven more odd, the user claims sometimes they get a notice that another user is in the file and that they will need to notify or open in read only mode. I have searched through options and even permissions on the file and cannot for the life of me figure out how to disable file sharing. When I try to search for Excel 2016 help on disabling I only get results that say to enable the legacy share workbook option but again, that is only to enable the feature There is an option that says "Unshare Workbook" but it is greyed out. However, the version of Excel (2016) does not have this option. I keep getting results of people saying click share workbook and then tell it to not share the workbook. ![]() ![]() So I have tried looking all over the place but all of the returned search results are for sharing, not disabling of sharing.
